Addax Biosciences is proud to be a key partner in ๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ Project, a pioneering initiative within the Eurostars 3 funding program, managed by Eureka, an international network dedicated to boosting competitiveness and integration through collaboration in Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I). Eurostars 3 aims to bring high-quality research and development to market, fostering cooperation to maximize positive impacts on quality of life.
Conducted in collaboration with renowned international partners, IEO Istituto Europeo di Oncologia and LaCAR MDX Technologies, the ๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ Projectโs primary goal is to develop a new single-cell RNA analysis based on Split-Pool Ligation-based Transcriptome-Seq technology to significantly advance tumor characterization, allowing more accurate and clinically translatable grouping of patients based on specific disease characteristics, with a focus on a lung cancer gene panel.
Combined with Split-Pool Ligation-based Transcriptome-Seq technology, using the power of combinatorial indexing it will allow precise single-cell RNA identification without cell isolation. The methodology further integrates library preparation with Tn5, providing a comprehensive view of the cell diversity within tumor microenvironment.
One of the central innovations of this project is the development of an enhanced fixation protocol using #GAFยฎ fixative, which provides optimal cell recovery, unprecedent RNA preservation and compatibility with fixation: combined with maximum safety for healthcare professionals, as it is non-carcinogenic.
The project aims to develop these protocols into a prototype test that will undergo rigorous analytical and technical validation, followed by clinical feasibility studies to evaluate its effectiveness, potentially paving the way for next-generation oncology diagnostics.
